This review is from: Acer Aspire One A150-1635 8. Sapphire Blue 9-Inch Netbook – 2. 5 hours of battery life (Personal Computer), Acer Aspire One A150-1635
After one day of owning this Acer One, I can tell already that I am happy with this purchase. I believe that this step from my first purchase a netbook netbook one years ago with the 7 "Asus 2GB model for Linux.
What I Like – Great price. The hard disk larger than 160 GB in a small netbook. Knowledge of Windows XP. Internet connectivity is fast, and while browsing the Internet is not as fast as my desktop HP, 4 GB of memory and a faster processor, it's not that slow. Deep blue and rich that I have chosen is also very attractive. E 'bright, clear screen and webcam are also a plus. Keyboard is not as tight as my 7 "Asus and the right shift key is in a better position on the Acer. Multi card reader, not just SD. Some guests received a comment on a box with some models not included in this model but an Acer mini mouse in the black box was a nice surprise. In all, this netbook will certainly satisfy the needs for which I bought – mostly for travel and work. The purchase of a 3-stack, with this model was not a problem because they are almost always able to use the power cord, and not as the 6-cell projection to the rear.
What they do not – have not found anything yet.
PS I also bought – Mobile Edge MESSU1-10 10-Inch Ultra Portable SlipSuit neoprene (black) – for removing scratches. The zip pocket outside the store the power cord and mouse mini.
This review is from: Acer Aspire One A150-1555 8. 9 inch black onyx Netbook – 2. 5 hours of battery life (Personal Computer), recently there has been a small revolution in this exercise. . . The netbook "or mini-notebook. What a Netbook? Well, are small laptops that are in a new class of them. Until recently, the smallest class of portable computers have been defined as "ultra light" or "super ultra-light". These laptops are generally 12-inch screen and weighs about 3 pounds. Many of these ultra-lights are not DVD or CD players, but relied on the media "dock" for these features.
The New Kids on the Block "netbooks" are even smaller. . . screens about 9 to 10 inches and weighs about 2 pounds. Many hard drives that are flash based. . . also known as solid-state hard drive. So what prompted this little revolution? Finally, the technologies of today have finally allowed small laptops, which are powerful weight fairly light and energy efficient enough to be practical. In addition, the Intel Atom (which is a small wonder that it offers. 1 6 GHz of computing power, drinking electricity) is one of the main reasons for these netbook is also made possible. As you read this review, keep in mind that these computers are not just toys. . . but in reality the work of small little horses:)
Review: The Acer Aspire One
This review is for the Acer Aspire One with 160GB hard drive, a 6-cell battery, 1. 6 GHz Atom processor, with 1GB of RAM and Windows XP pre-installed. Please note that there are different versions of this mini-laptop. Some of them have many albums (some with hard drives Solid State), and some different options with the battery (like a cell of 3 instead of 6 cells), and operating systems are too different (Linux Lite). I chose it because the 6-cell battery is 5 hours or more, which included XP, and comes with a hard disk of 160 GB, but this version makes it even more expensive. . . If you wonder why there are so many different prices floating around the laptop for the same model.
Well, I have this laptop for a few days and I am very impressed and pleased with what he can do. It runs Windows XP very well and you can have more programs open at once. . . which means that can multi-task quite well. Seems to have a very solid, strong screen hinge, and a nice (glossy) screen with high contrast. The colors are very vibrant and the black level is superb. I am surprised at how quickly you can upload web pages and YouTube videos. . . there is very little latency. For example, if you watch a video on youtube and you switch to full screen, which slows down and passes quickly. And although one drawback of this netbook (or any netbook for that matter) is that there is no DVD or CD, DVD video played off the larger hard drive (oddly) is provided with the software pre-installed Win DVD . One of my concerns before buying this because I thought the screen resolution may appear as the pixel resolution is 1024 x 600, but it seems very high. The only thing is that you have to scroll down more often for displaying Web pages than normal due to screen size. Another thing that surprised me this notebook is that even when using all the USB ports (it comes with 3 in total), at the same time, not slow the laptop down. I found this when I connected a USB mouse, external hard drive and an external DVD burner. . . and burned a data DVD using the external hard drive off. Passed the test with flying colors and not skip a beat. The only downside of this laptop is the design of it is the mouse. Not only the mouse buttons poorly placed on the sides of the touch sensor. . . but the size of the buttons are super thin and small. I think this could have easily improved by at least make the mouse buttons larger. The advantage is that you can always use an external USB mouse, if not a nuisance for you. Other than that, this laptop has exceeded my expectations. Here is a brief list of advantages and disadvantages:
Strengths
Beautiful screen, with bright colors, high contrast ratio and bright!
6-cell battery is amazing (with 5 or more hours of use)
-160GB HD, Runs XP great, multi-task well.
-3 USB ports and multi-card reader that can read the new SDHC cards
Built-in microphone and a webcam (video camera looks good)
Integrated Wi-Fi worked well for me and for web pages load quickly.
So-portable and lightweight. . . the size of a small manual.
-Runs quiet and not get hot during the race.
Weaknesses:
Ill-posed and designed the mouse buttons
-No DVD or CD (but not netbooks offer available)
The screen may be larger (an inch more would go a long way)
Conclusion
If you are looking for a laptop and notebook computers at affordable prices, that has enough processing power to run most applications, this mini-laptop can do the trick for you. It's perfect for a student who is always in motion. . . especially given the length of battery life. This probably is not good for you, if you run a word processor-intensive though. . . such as video editing or gaming software. Overall, the Acer Aspire notebook is a little 'surprising is a marvel (even for us tech geeks) to see in action.
This review is from: Acer Aspire One A150-1555 8. 9 inch black onyx Netbook – 2. 5 hours of battery life (Personal Computer) I had this at a military store, because travel constantly and wanted a lighter laptop to stay in touch. Startup and shutdown are faster on most laptops. I'm glad that there is more than enough hard disk space, but the battery can be more important. The 3-Cell is actually perfect for the form, but lasts only 2. 5 hours of heavy use. I ordered a 6-cell battery to become my main, but the sticks back and ruin the look and elegant form. Some people have complained about the buttons are on opposite sides of the touchpad, but it made no difference to my work since I use a mouse that came with your computer. The only other drawback is the screen resolution. You have to be careful about loading games that require a higher resolution than 1024 x 600. Bookmarks are different that can not be loaded on this point. However, X3 Corel WordPerfect Suite and Microsoft Office 2007 loaded fine. It also comes with InterVideo WinDVD, but it is a trial version is used to be free so I downloaded on iTunes. There was no bloatware though, did not take long to get rid of what I have. Overall, this is a great buy for a road warrior. If you plan to be away from the wall more than 2 hours, get the model with the 6-cell battery.
