Adequate, tiny, and cheap
The Aspire One D250-1165 (1.6GHz, 1GB memory, 160GB disk) is about as much laptop as you can get for $299.
Taken by Wal Mart for $ 298. This is a great Netbook
pro
– After you uninstall the Google Toolbar, McAfee and other useless software that comes with the netbook, it's really fast. 1GB is enough if you do the cleaning.
– Thinner than the D150 model, the weight very light.
– Keypad is small yet usable
rec
– Touchpad is not very good, the gesture of scrolling does not always work.
– The screen is bright, but usable. I prefer glossy screen, some people do not like.

Great for travel
Took it to Prague, CZ with a MagicJack. Light weight and starts fast. A mouse is much easier to use than the touchpad.

Good, lightweight solution, if you prune the apps installed
It’s a nice. lightweight, small computer with a good keyboard and display. Performance is miserable if you leave the spurious applications that came with it.
Terrific product. For the journey, its size and weight is perfect. It has enough RAM and disk size for my (non-gaming) needs, which is the use of the Internet, taking notes in libraries, and writing. The characters are extremely sharp, and I am pleased to command variable brightness of the screen, so you can use indoors and outside in the dark days of sunshine. I am 100% satisfied.

Track Pad is Awful.
Overall, this is a perfectly decent netbook. But the trackpad is really, really awful. Maybe its due to being a Mac guy, and used to Mac trackpad’s, but I really found this one…
This model is quite new. Although it has the usual features, I. e. Built in wi-fi, camera, HDD 160 GB, etc, etc. This is the model of the battery 3 hours. I have no idea where Amazon gets their Specifications. We just bought this and the manual states that it comes with 1GB of RAM and is expandable up to 2 GB. He acknowledged 4 wireless connections in my area, when it was switched on. Until now, it's great for what it was bought, the Internet, small games of weak demand, music, word processing. . .

Beyond Expectations
I have been looking at a netbook for a couple of years but just wasn’t sure it was what I wanted. I decided to sell my mac and started looking again for a smaller laptop.

Acer Aspire one…no manual, I don’t know what is what
The keyboard is fine, good picture, fast downloads but I wish I could find a manual. I didn’t even know it had a slot for an sd card until someone who had a demonstration in a…

I love this computer
I spent a lot of time comparison shopping, especially between this computer and the HP with similiar specs.

Battery and fan issues make it a no-go
The fan is LOUD! I checked online and everyone knows it, in fact they recommend free third party software that controls when the fan kicks in.
